    Columbus Volunteer Fire Department Social hall is located at 5 West Main Street Columbus, PA 16405.  Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and classes will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.  Please register early as there are a limited number of spaces this year, and NO WALK-INS will be accepted.

    • Review current pre-hospital resuscitation techniques including IV access.

    • Discuss the cases as to the specific presentation of the cardiac event and associated risks 
    • Students will review case presentations of cardiac patients and how to better understand the seriousness of their conditions

    Prehospital Burn Management

    • Students will identify the characteristics of the various severity levels of thermal, electrical, chemical and radiological burns.
    • Students will understand body surface estimation utilizing the Rule of Nines for Adult and pediatric burn patients.
